From 9th to 16th of March 2024, the Burgstallhütte will be dedicated to the motto "Wine meets cheese and sweets – wines from all over Austria with dessert and cheese".
Wine enjoyment from the large bottle, special cheese platters and dessert variations are offered daily.

The hut is located directly at the middle station. Good food and drink, home cooking, rustic interior panorama and beautiful terrace.

We celebrate everything. Especially nature. It is our north star. Gives the direction. It is our inspiration for things big and small. That's why all our burgers, cocktails and every minute in the Dorfdisco 2.0 contain a lot of Hochkönig, a lot of character, real enjoyment and no half measures. No Nature. No Party.

Our Burgerlab
is the place where inspiration happens between two buns. So to speak. Here we celebrate the diversity of our surroundings and all the great things between Hochkönig and Dachegghof. And that's what we bring from there onto the plates and into the hands.

...but none is as special as the Tom alpine cabin. This may be due to the fact that in the whole of Maria Alm, no, in the whole of Salzburger Land, there is no other alpine hut with a pug (Choupette is her precious name) as a mascot. But probably also because of how we run our hut. 

In addition to a spectacular mountain panorama, we offer a good dose of taste: modern architecture is combined with rustic hut charm, the bubbly for the sundowner is specially created and the menu delivers what an alpine hut promises. Anyone expecting a classic ski lodge on the mountain will be surprised here - but that's exactly how we like it.

Traditional alpine hut in the ski area "Hahnbaum" in the city centre of Sankt Johann im Pongau. Directly next to the top station of the 2-men chairlift "Hahnbaum".

Delicious and honest - these are the two attributes that best describe the culinary offerings of Paularei. Surrounded by a homely feel-good atmosphere with a modern and vintage design can be enjoyed. It’s always open from 7.30 till 02.00 o’clock also on Sundays and public holidays!

A real highlight in the Paularei is the unique concept of space, flexible regions and different heights react to each other in the perfect way and fascinate with gentle contrasts. Rounded with graffiti and photography at its finest, the result is a convincing unit from larger dining tables, the room, the cozy fireplace areas and the bar.

The boards that mean the world – in Wagrain those are skis and snowboards! Fun on the piste depends largely on the equipment – it doesn’t matter whether you are trying out the many varied pistes in the Sportworld amadé or just want to enjoy a ski holiday with your family.

Winter or summer: in our sport shop you will find the latest top brands for your favourite sport, but also the best value top deals. Convenience, quality and choice are important to us.

A focus of our ski rental area: ski rent on the top. The ski rental department offers you alpine and freestyle skis, snowboards, top quality ski boots and snowboard boots. And in summer we have mountain and e-bikes. Especially practical is our depot service. After an action packed ski or bike day, you can deposit your equipment here and collect it again the next day.

You will always get good advice from our ski rental experts. They will help you choose the right equipment for your ability, make sure you have the correct binding setting and ensure a perfect boot fitting. And then there’s only one thing left to do: get out on the piste and start your winter adventure!

You want to reserve your ski equipment already before you start your holiday? You can book your equipment from home easily and with favourable conditions in our online ski hire. We organise the equipment and reserve it for you. Upon arrival in Wagrain you can simply collect it from the shop or let us deliver it to your hotel. That’s what we understand by ski rental service!

At the Rauchkopfhütte our guests can enjoy a range of traditional Austrian and international home-made dishes served in a cosy alpine environment, boasting with character. The atmosphere is enhanced by wonderful views of the mountains from all corners, rustic interiors, occasional live music and winter sports on television. We take pride in our food and service, and do our best to ensure that our guests have a nice and comfortable stay.

Rauchkopfhütte offers inside tables, a bar, a wintergarden and three other outdoor terraces where our guests can eat, drink, relax, socialise and enjoy the sun shine with magnificent views. Our indoor restaurant and wintergarden have captured the traditional Austrian alpine atmosphere. They have tables which are protected from the wind and the cold, whereas the wintergarden has a hydraulic glass roof which opens up to convert it into an additional outside space, ideal when it is sunny but maybe a bit windy. The outdoor terraces have tables, comfortable sun beds and beach chairs which can be used for drinking and relaxing in the sun.

Our wintergarden is dedicated to non-smokers, but smoking is allowed at the bar. Rauchkopfhütte is also ideal for non-skiers who want to enjoy the food, panorama and sun shine, within easy reach from the ski-lift.

The Laireiter Alm is located at 1,850 m directly next to the Grossarltal panorama station. It offers space for 300 to 350 people in the interior. When the weather is fine, up to 500 people can enjoy the sun on our spacious terrace.
