37th Spring Festival of Horses in Ramsau am Dachstein

The Spring Horse Festival will take place again in Ramsau am Dachstein in 2026. Lovingly arranged floral figures, carriages drawn by magnificently decorated horses and a non-motorised parade unique in Austria enrich the festival programme. The supporting programme naturally also features plenty of traditional costume and tradition. Traditional dance groups, Schuhplattl dancing and musical performances fill the festival marquee with sound.

The highlight is the parade on Sunday. Flower-decorated horse-drawn carriages, together with traditional costume, music and Schnalzer groups from the region, form the Spring Horse Festival parade. In total, over 100 horses of various breeds will be ‘in action’. The net proceeds from the festival will go to the Ramsau am Dachstein Mountain Rescue Service and social projects.
