Freeriding, the original way to move quickly through the powder snow, is booming. No wonder, as the Freerider feels unlimited happiness, as they make their own tracks through the virgin snow. In Ski amadé, unique possibilities to glide through the fresh powder snow are waiting for you.
The regions of Ski amadé do everything to make powder skiing as safe as possible!
The Freeride routes are diverse and the off-piste areas are safer when they used to be used as a slope or there used to be a drag lift there. It goes one step further at the Freeride Info Base in Sportgastein and at the Schlossalm. The information and management system ensures that there is safe Backcountry fun and makes the Freeriding experience accessible for various ability levels.
In addition, at the transceiver station you can prepare yourself optimally for the Freeride experience under real conditions and rehearse an emergency. At both of the bottom stations of the World Cup Arena Zauchensee and Highport Flachauwinkl, you can test your own equipment and see whether the avalanche transceiver is working properly!
Safe Freeriding in Ski amadé
If you go off secured slopes and go onto unsecured routes, then you should be poficient in skiing or snowboarding and also have experience of skiing in the terrain. For example, acquire the necessary know-how at an avalanche and snow profile course, so that you can enjoy skiing through the deep powder in the safest way possible.
Also for Freeriding, the right equipment is absolutely necessary. Avalanche transceiver, shovels and further special items of equipment ensure maximum safety on the ski routes and in the powder.

In Sportgastein 3 ski routes await Freeriders:
The Golden Powder Route is the longest route in the area. The ideal starting point is just under the top station of the Goldbergbahn lift. At the end of the run, you can connect directly to the next route (Golden Rush) and Freeride right down into the valley.
The exiting point from the Golden Ride Route is directly at the bottom station of the Kreuzkogel drag lift. This route is the shortest, so best suited as a warm up and to get you into the swing of things. You can get more information here.
The Dachstein is a real touring Eldorado:
The "Panorama Tour" is the ideal day trip: You can easily park at the Rittisberg and then take the bus to the bottom station of the Dachstein. Skiing on the glacier and with the Adler lifts. Then back via the ski route into Ramsau.

With the right technique makes especially the sophisticated skiing more fun! As a certified ski instructor and longtime trainer these conditions are given on my part. The trainings are carried out in private groups. Optimal training ground and training times increase the success. Permanent video and motion analysis bring a noticeable increase in performance and driving pleasure. The systematic Fumble on the own limit is every time again a surprise!
