Crossing the Dachstein

National Ski Tour

For experienced skiers with good physical condition – the crossing of the Dachstein. This is a 25 km long route from the Dachstein top station via the Simonyhütte and Gjaidalm to the Dachstein Krippenstein ski area and down to Obertraun.

The return transport from Obertraun to Ramsau is organized with the Planai buses. More detailed information is available at: www.derdachstein.at

Freeride Tour Edelgriess
The Edelgriess is certainly the best known and most popular powder run on the Dachstein. The 1,600 metres of downhill run to Ramsau am Dachstein and the unique mountain scenery speak for themselves. Tour only recommended with a mountain guide and bookable at bergfuehrer-dachstein.at.

Freeride Tour Gruberscharte
As soon as you arrive in Ramsau am Dachstein, the snow-covered powder runs that stretch down from the Guttenberghaus and the Gruberscharte to Ramsau catch your eye. The descent offers everything a freerider's heart desires! Tour only recommended with a mountain guide and is bookable at bergfuehrer-dachstein.at.

Freeride Tour Schwadrinn
A very steep and impressive freeride run directly below the Dachstein glacier lift. Once you have passed the entrance through the Schwadrinn, the long, wide slopes to the valley station of the cable car await you. When the snow conditions are good, the descent continues down to the valley and offers a total of 1,700 metres in altitude.
