12 Peaks Ski Region

The Filzmoos ski area lies in the Salzburger Sportwelt in Ski amadé and offers around 20 kilometres of pistes in an impressive mountain setting. The two ski mountains, Rossbrand and Großberg, provide varied descents with plenty of space on the slopes. Skiing & Snowboarding in the Filzmoos ski area

The ski area is divided into two sections: the Rossbrand in the south and the Großberg in the north. Together, they offer a good mix of easy, intermediate, and more challenging runs. Wide pistes allow relaxed turns, while the compact size of the ski area makes orientation easy and keeps distances short.

This combination is especially ideal for families: children can take their first steps in the snow, while experienced skiers can enjoy longer descents. At the same time, the open landscape around Filzmoos provides impressive views of the surrounding mountain scenery.

    An experience for families

A special highlight for families is the Funslope “filZOO” at the sixpack Mooslehen. The adventure run, around one kilometre long, combines movement, play and skiing in a varied way.

Along the route, figures such as monkeys, sloths or a large giraffe accompany young and grown-up skiers alike. Wave tracks, snow hills and small obstacles add extra fun on the descent. This creates an adventure area that really excites children and at the same time offers a welcome change from classic skiing.

Moments of enjoyment in the ski area

A successful ski day also includes a stop at a cosy ski hut. In Filzmoos, several huts along the pistes welcome you with regional specialties and a warm atmosphere.

Typical dishes such as Kasnocken or Kaiserschmarrn make for a delicious break between runs. The combination of traditional cuisine, sunny terraces and views of the snowy mountain landscape makes every stop a special moment in the ski day.

Winter experiences around the ski area

Filzmoos also shows its many sides away from the pistes in winter. On the Rossbrand, a cross-country trail of around 16 kilometres runs through the area and, with its panorama, is one of the region’s special cross-country skiing experiences. The cross-country skiing house at the mountain station provides practical infrastructure for this.

In addition, winter hiking trails, snowshoe hikes and ski tours invite you to discover the snowy mountain landscape actively. The quiet surroundings around Filzmoos create ideal conditions for this. Especially for guests who want to enjoy the winter nature in addition to skiing.
