Nature in Gastein offers a wide range of adventures for young and old explorers and is ideal for a family holiday away from everyday life. Family-friendly hiking trails and exciting adventure mountains with a motor skills park, suspension bridge, or the mirror lake create unforgettable moments.

Activities such as mountain carts, via ferratas, mini golf, archery, or horseback riding add even more variety. And if the weather does not cooperate, two thermal spas with spacious family areas guarantee swimming fun regardless of the weather and pure relaxation for young and old alike.

The region impresses with its variety - and not just when hiking or biking. A special highlight is Prinzenberg Natrun. The Natrunbahn takes you to an altitude of 1,163 metres in just a few minutes. Once at the top, little adventurers can look forward to a fairytale castle playground, while older children can let off steam in the exciting forest slide park with five stainless steel slides. A visit to the Jufen archery course and a detour to the wildlife enclosure are also worthwhile.

Tonis' alpine playground on the Karbachalm in Mühlbach is a real paradise for families. Thanks to the Karbachalm cable car, you can reach the mountain with ease. Whether it's a water playground, sand construction site, climbing tower, slacklines, alpine frisbee, marble run trail and much more - boredom is guaranteed to stay away here!

A special experience awaits at Gabühel: Austria's first swing park at over 1,600 metres above sea level - a place that gets both young and old swinging.

At the Großarler Sinnesweg, stations await that revolve around the elements of wood, earth, fire, water, and metal. At each station, visitors can fully rely on their senses and consciously perceive scents, sounds, and the entire surroundings.

Comfortable hiking trails easily lead to Himmelreichsee with its water playground, to a mountain summit, to the Spiegelsee reservoir with its barefoot trail, and to more hiking destinations.

Fun and action are guaranteed on a ride with the Mountain Cart, on the single trail, or in the E-trail park.
