Nach dem Skitag ist Glieder entspannen angesagt, aber ein paar neue Entdeckungen haben noch Platz. So fährt man ins Tal und dort entweder zu Fuß oder mit dem Skibus ins Ortszentrum von Großarl. Im Troadkastn“, dem neuen Bauernladen in Großarl locken unzählige heimische Schmankerl, vom typischen Sauerkäse über selbst geräucherten Speck bis hin zum süßen Almrosenblüten-Honig (geöffnet Di, Mi, Fr, Sa). Direkt gegenüber befindet sich das Atelier Astei mit traditioneller, überwiegend aber zeitgenössisch moderner Schnitzkunst. Für Anhänger zeitlos schöner Trachtenmode findet sich unweit das 2018 neu eröffnete Geschäft von „Almsommer Trachtenmode“.
 

At the Rauchkopfhütte our guests can enjoy a range of traditional Austrian and international home-made dishes served in a cosy alpine environment, boasting with character. The atmosphere is enhanced by wonderful views of the mountains from all corners, rustic interiors, occasional live music and winter sports on television. We take pride in our food and service, and do our best to ensure that our guests have a nice and comfortable stay.

Rauchkopfhütte offers inside tables, a bar, a wintergarden and three other outdoor terraces where our guests can eat, drink, relax, socialise and enjoy the sun shine with magnificent views. Our indoor restaurant and wintergarden have captured the traditional Austrian alpine atmosphere. They have tables which are protected from the wind and the cold, whereas the wintergarden has a hydraulic glass roof which opens up to convert it into an additional outside space, ideal when it is sunny but maybe a bit windy. The outdoor terraces have tables, comfortable sun beds and beach chairs which can be used for drinking and relaxing in the sun.

Our wintergarden is dedicated to non-smokers, but smoking is allowed at the bar. Rauchkopfhütte is also ideal for non-skiers who want to enjoy the food, panorama and sun shine, within easy reach from the ski-lift.

MOUNTAIN INN AND SKI HUT MY SPORTALM AT THE KÖNIGSLEHEN MOUNTAIN STATION IN THE RADSTADT-ALTENMARKT SKI AREA IN SKI AMADÉ

Our My Sportalm is located at 1,570 meters above sea level on the Kemahdhöhe in the Radstadt - Altenmarkt ski area. There the 4 most important cable cars of the ski area come together: Hochbifangbahn I + II, Kemahdbahn and the gondola Königslehen.

A direct connection to the Tauern loipe - leading for 50 kms through mainly easy, colourful terrain, e.g.: from Wagrain 12 kms (one stretch) hiking loipe to Kleinarl and into the Jägersee nature preserve. More information from Sport Obermoser

At the PirklAlm on Galsterberg, you can expect honest, homemade cuisine – fresh, regional, and cooked with love. Julia and Andreas, known from the Neureit-Alm and founders of Kitchen Invaders, are at the stove themselves and bring new energy to the mountain. Look forward to warming soups, the popular dumpling trio, burritos with an alpine twist, and the original Neureit Bosna – all homemade, regional, and served with love. Whether Austrian classics or creative specialties: here you can taste genuine craftsmanship and a passion for good food. Enjoy the cozy hut atmosphere with genuine hospitality – perfect for skiers, winter vacationers, and connoisseurs. The PirklAlm is easily accessible by car and also offers space for groups – reservations are welcome, but please be sure to book in advance for groups here!
