The Alpentaverne is located at 1320 m above sea level directly at the mountain station of the 8-seater Hochbrand cable car and has been a family business for generations. Here you can enjoy home-style cooking, quick snacks, soups and sweets such as yeast dumplings, strudel and much more.

On three downhills in the skiarea Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl you can become a ski-superstar: Full speed ahed on the skimovie parallel-slalom and on the skimovie funslope mixed race on Gamskogel and shred down the slope at skimobie giant slalom at Kogelalm! In winter, the mountains attract skiers and snowboarders. The Gastein ski region in the heart of Austria comprises 4 ski areas with a total of 220 kilometres of pistes. But cross-country skiers also love the Gastein Valley and enjoy the healthy Nordic endurance sport on the valley trail or the snow-sure high-altitude trail. Those who want to get to know the cold season from its gentler side will find the opportunity to do so on winter hikes. Tobogganing and romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides are also possible in the white landscape. Wherever you go: You will always be accompanied by the majestic natural scenery of the Gastein mountains around the Hotel Römerhof in Dorfgastein.

Das Skidepot bei der 8er-Gondelbahn Talstation sorgt für eine sichere und bequeme Verwahrung deiner gesamten Skiausrüstung.

Es stehen 2er und 5er Kästen zur Verfügung. Jeder Kasten ist zusätzlich mit einer Skischuhheizung sowie einer Helm- & Handschuhablage ausgestattet.

Schließfächer bieten zusätzlich Platz für deine Wertgegenstände.

Simply relax and unwind. Cosy up in the Hollywood swing on the Kieserl and enjoy the snow-covered mountain world without thinking about anything.

Ab der Bergstation der Dachstein-Gletscherbahnen gibt es ein Angebot von Ski-Übergängen und Steilabfahrten das weltweit seinesgleichen sucht. Zahlreiche Talorte rund um den Dachstein können von hier per Ski erreicht werden.Tourenabfahrten führen nach Hallstatt, Obertraun, Ramsau, Gosau, Gröbming oder Filzmoos. Die Höhenunterschiede betragen bis zu 2000 m, die Streckenlängen bis zu 30 Kilometern! Gemeinsam mit den teils extremen Steilabfahrten gibt es 16 Tourenabfahrten die an der Bergstation der Dachstein-Gletscherbahnen ihren Ausgangspunkt haben.
