With more than 20 years of experience as ski instructor and alpine guide in Gastein, Gernot will accompany you to the highest peaks in Europe and assists you in technic and security issues.

With e-bikes into the mountains: With e-bikes, lonely remote peaks can be easily made as a day tour or various fixed rope routes can be reached.

In Grossarl and Hüttschlag you can go cross country skiing on 25 km of tracked trails. For the most part, the trails in our region are tracked for classic as well as “skating” technique.

In Grossarl as well as Hüttschlag, there are cross-country trails lit up after dark on certain days. The ca. 2 km-long night trail in Grossarl is at the Reitwiese, open to skiers Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6 until 8:30 p.m. In Hüttschlag, there is a ca. 3 km-long floodlit trail next to the Aschaustüberl. This is available to all skiers on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 6 and 8:30 p.m.

Equipped with a PGS device, go on an exciting treasure hunt along the Königstour away from the ski slopes. Information, treasure map, coordinates, and GPS device are available at the Tourist Office.

Our restaurant Tennestadl, which opened in 2016 and has 96 seats inside and 60 seats on the west-facing terrace, is located directly in the Hohenhaus Tenne, yet shielded from the hype. Snowshoe hike to the Karseggalm in Grossarl.

From the Breitenebenalm car park, snowshoe uphill along the goods road or along the shortcuts through the forest to the Breitenebenalm (not open in winter). Shortly before the Breitenebenalm, you pass a game reserve. The trail continues partly through the forest and partly over snow fields to the Karseggalm (not open in winter). At the Karseggalm you can enjoy the marvellous winter landscape. Return along the same route.

In summer, the fun & pro Bike Academy is an institution for bikers and has been since 1992. In addition to guided MTB and e-bike tours, there is riding technique training for all bikers. Teaching the right mountain and e-bike riding technique is a particular concern of ours. Why? With an electric drive you can easily climb the mountains and don't need a lot of experience or stamina.
