Ski amadé in the evening – 5 special toboggan runs with guaranteed fun

Even off the slopes, every winter sports enthusiast gets their money’s worth in Ski amadé. Besides the cross-country skiing trails (for example in Ramsau am Dachstein or Rossbrand in Filzmoos, I can highly recommend numerous tobogganing runs which can be found here in the region.

Toboggan run Winterbauer (Reitdorf/Flachau):

At the hotel/guesthouse Winterbauer, you can not only enjoy the excellent cuisine, but you can also borrow a “Zipfelbob“ sledge and whizz down the steep toboggan run. Also, toboggans can be borrowed. As the toboggan run is very steep, it is double the fun on the “Zipfelbob“ sledge and it is easier to control your speed ;)

Snow Tubing (Pichl/Schladming):

When snow tubing, you shoot down one of the three prepared runs at great speed in a tyre – numerous spins around are included! Snow walls and enough of a run out ensure that the slide down is a safe one!

Allwetter-Bahn Lucky-Flitzer (Flachau)

The Alpine rollercoaster can be ridden in both summer and in winter. With the toboggan lift you get taken to the top and then you whizz down the 1,100 meter long run on the rails. Definitely a very special kind of tobogganing fun!

Natural toboggan run Hochwurzen (Schladming):

4 quaint ski huts invite you for a stop off either before, during or after the 7 kilometre long tobogganing fun. Until the 11th of March, the Hochwurzen lift will bring you to the starting point of the toboggan run from Monday to Saturday until 9.30pm (from the 15th of March Wednesday until Saturday).

Toboggan run Königslehen (Radstadt):

More than 6 kilometres (lit) of pure tobogganing fun in the middle of Radstadt. Whoever does not want to walk up the 6 kilometre long run can take the cable car up to the 1,571 meters above sea level either during the day or on Tuesday and Friday evenings (to 9pm).

Finally, a tip: do not forget your ski goggles (and ski helmet) and also a headtorch can be a real help, even on the floodlit runs! Have fun and some accident free tobogganing fun :)
