Vegan and vegetarian on the mountain
For example, the ski region of Mühlbach am Hochkönig. Here, taste is at the forefront and for those who do not eat meat, do not have to miss out on anything here, but they are actually presented with wonderful delicacies. The region even has several vegan ski days on offer and on their website they have listed the huts where you can eat vegan/vegetarian meals.
For those who like it quaint, then the “Zachhofalm“ is exactly the right place and the wide range of offers, with its somewhat different menu, totally impressed me. The vegan goulash was divine and I would have been more than happy to sample my way through the rest of the menu.
For those who like it stylish, should go the “Tiergartenalm“ and there they can watch the people in the park on a sunny day. There are plenty of possibilities to visit a different hut each day from Mühlbach all the way over to Dienten and Maria Alm (Steinbockalm, Tischlerhütte, Wastlalm, Fellersbachalm, Karbachalm, Zapferlalm). You definitely won’t get bored here when it comes to food or anything else. All information can be found here:
Vegetarians can find something to eat in every ski resort in Ski amadé, but whoever is looking for an alternative to Kaiserschmarrn and Kasnocken, then they are in exactly the right place at the Sonnalm or Onkel Tom’s in Wagrain. Here, besides the classics, you can also get a veggie burger or baked Camembert. At the “Waldgasthof Angertal“, a vegetarian meal was lovingly prepared, and on the Dachstein you could have a tasty lentil stew, and at the “Kreistenalm“ im Snow Space Salzburg in St. Johann-Alpendorf, you could order a crunchy cheese dumpling on a salad upon request. Tasty. So, even when something is not always on the menu, you could kindly ask if they would make something for you.
