High up on the Planai

The 10-seater cable car lift takes you comfortably up to the Planai in Schladming. During the ascent you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Schladminger Tauern mountain range.

Once at the top, various hikes await you around the Planai peak, on the “Krahbergzinken” or to the "Place of Reflection" (a walk-in wooden sculpture located at an idyllic mountain lake on the panoramic circular hiking trail).

Hopsiland – a children's paradise

Hopsiland on the Planai is a true paradise for families and nature lovers. Young guests can experience great adventures and numerous opportunities to explore the mountain world in Hopsiland:

  • 1.5 km long circular trail
  • marble runs
  • climbing stations
  • water playground
  • Swings, slides
  • Movement stations
  • Free inclined lift Hopsi Express

The circular trail starts at the mountain station of the Planai cable car and leads over 1.5 kilometres past many play stations and a total of 6 huts & restaurants along the way. Here, the youngest adventurers can climb, slide, swing and romp to their heart's content while their parents enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains.

A special highlight is the new North Pole station. It features a slide, various ball tracks, motor skills elements and, above all, a viewing platform that offers a panoramic view of the entire Schladming-Dachstein region.

Bike Park Schladming

In the Schladming bike park, two-wheeled enthusiasts really get their money's worth. Over a total length of 40 kilometres, trails such as the Flowline, the Uphill Flow Trail or the Jumpline offer both beginners and pros the perfect opportunity to pursue their passion.

Highlights: The Flowline (ideal for beginners and families with children), the 99 Jumpline for pros and the Uphill Flow Trail for maximum uphill fun.

Culinary delights on the mountain

A homely Styrian atmosphere and culinary delights with tradition – welcome to our huts in Schladming!

Gourmets also get the most out of it on the Planai. There is nothing more natural for the eight open huts than to spoil guests with culinary delicacies. A wide range of mainly local and traditional delicacies combined with pleasant drinks will make every gourmet's heart beat faster.

The Woodpecker Indulgence Restauranteurs Association
Regional quality is paramount – the Planai mountain hut owners have taken this motto to heart and joined forces under the name "Genuss-Specht-Wirte" (Indulgence-Woodpecker-Restauranteurs). This association guarantees fine-tasting delicacies of first-class quality.
