    Up high on the Planai

The 10-seater gondola takes you up to the Schladminger Planai in comfort. On the ascent, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Schladminger Tauern.

Once at the top, a variety of hikes await around the Planai summit, to Krahbergzinken or to the “Ort der Besinnung” (a walkable wooden sculpture located by an idyllic mountain lake on the panoramic circular hiking trail).

    Family fun at Hopsiland Planai

Hopsiland on the Planai is a true paradise for families and nature lovers. In Hopsiland, young guests experience great adventures and many opportunities to explore the mountain world:

    • 1.5 km circular trail
    • Marble runs
    • Climbing stations
    • Water playground
    • Swings, slides
    • Exercise stations
    • Free Hopsi Express inclined lift

The circular hiking trail starts at the mountain station of the Planai cable car and runs for 1.5 kilometres past many play stations and a total of 6 huts & restaurants right along the route. Here, the youngest adventurers can climb, slide, swing and let off steam to their heart’s content, while parents enjoy the fantastic views of the surrounding mountains.

A special highlight is the North Pole station. It delights with a slide, various marble runs, motor skills elements and, above all, a viewing platform that offers a panoramic view over the entire Region Schladming-Dachstein.

    Mountain cuisine

Styrian gemütlichkeit and cuisine with tradition

Welcome to our huts in Schladming!

Food lovers also get their money’s worth on the Planai. For the eight open huts, there is nothing more natural than treating guests to culinary delights. A wide range of mostly regional and traditional specialities, combined with refreshing drinks, makes every gourmet’s heart beat faster.

    Genuss-Specht-Wirte:
Regional quality comes first – this is the principle that the hut hosts on the Planai have taken to heart and joined together under the name “Genuss-Specht-Wirte”. This association guarantees fine food of top quality.
