Tom Almhütte

There are many huts on Hochkönig, but none is as special as the Tom Almhütte.

That may be because there is no second alpine hut anywhere in Maria Alm, or even in the whole of Salzburger Land, with a Pug (Choupette is her noble name) as a mascot. But it is also because of the way we run our hut.

Alongside a spectacular mountain panorama, you will find above all a good dose of flavour: modern architecture is combined with rustic hut charm, the sparkling drink for the sundowner is specially created, and the menu delivers exactly what you would expect from an alpine hut. Anyone expecting a classic ski hut on the mountain will be surprised – but that is exactly how we like it.
