From/ via Munich, approx. 2 hours
From/ via Salzburg, approx. 1 hour: Tauernautobahn southbound to Bischofshofen, exit Gasteinertal.
From/ via Innsbruck, approx. 2 hours: motorway via Wörgl, federal road 312 via St. Johann/Tirol to Lofer, federal road 311 via Zell am See to Lend, federal road 167 to Gastein or motorway - Kufstein - Salzburg - Villach, exit Gasteinertal, federal road 167 to Gasteinertal.
From the south, drive via Villach, Möllbrücke and Obervellach to Mallnitz and from there reach Gastein conveniently with the vehicle shuttle train.
