Arrival in Sportgastein

You can reach the ski area in Sportgastein from Salzburg via the Tauern Motorway and the Gastein federal road. Passing through Dorfgastein, Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein, you arrive in Böckstein. Here, the road splits toward the Tauernschleuse (coming from the state of Carinthia) and Sportgastein. Via the Gastein High Alpine Road, you finally reach the valley station of the Goldbergbahn directly.

From the south, drive via Villach, Möllbrücke and Obervellach to Mallnitz and from there, use the car shuttle to reach Gastein comfortably.

Guests can also travel directly and conveniently to Sportgastein by ski bus. With a valid ski pass and ski equipment, it can be used free of charge.
