Ghost Mountain St. Johann
The Alpendorf gondola lift in St. Johann / Alpendorf takes you up into the “realm of the funny ghosts”. More than 40 large and small play stations along the mostly stroller-friendly hiking trails make Ghost Mountain one of the most popular excursion destinations in Salzburger Land.
Highlights include the Ghost Village, Ghost Lake, Ghost Mountain Castle, Drachi’s via ferrata for young people and beginners, water play areas, climbing towers, swings and numerous slides.
More than 40 large and small play stations
You can cover part of the route from the Alpendorf gondola lift mountain station to the center of the Ghost Mountain adventure world with the free Ghost Mountain train. Stroller transport is also possible here. Family-friendly hiking trails lead you from Ghost Mountain to the Sonntagskogel nature oasis with the idyllic Sonntagskogel Lake and on to Grafenberg in Wagrain.
Drachi’s via ferrata
The via ferrata for young people & beginners at Ghost Mountain in St. Johann is a must for families who want to immerse themselves in alpine adventure.
Drachi’s via ferrata is the right challenge for adventurous kids and teenagers aged 12 and over who want to test their own limits.
Safely secured to a steel cable, you climb the 40-meter-high Dragon Wall together with your parents and cross the Wilderer Gorge on a 6-meter-long rope bridge. The start of Drachi’s via ferrata is about a 5-minute walk from Buchau Hut.
