Toboggan fun for the whole family

Hochwurzen is home to the longest toboggan run in Styria. From the start portal at 1,852 metres above sea level, young and old alike can ride down the 7-kilometre route with plenty of fun and speed. The winding track brings variety and makes for lots of enjoyment.

You can either bring your own toboggan or rent one on site. Funslope and Hopsi trail

For extra fun in the snow, the Funslope on Hochwurzen provides plenty of action. It is located between the Gipfelbahn Hochwurzen and the Obertalbahn valley station. On 575 metres, you can expect steep turns, waves, a snow tunnel and other obstacles. A special feature is the Speedboost: a 6-metre-long box that makes sounds when you go over it.

Small speedsters will also find their place on Hochwurzen. The Hopsi trail leads from the Obertalbahn mountain station back to the valley station of the Gipfelbahn Hochwurzen. Along pistes 34 and 36, wave sections with timing, easy gates and tap-high elements provide a varied desc}n.

    Evening activities on Hochwurzen

If your ski day is not over yet, Hochwurzen offers a special experience: night skiing on the 3-kilometre, freshly groomed floodlit slope. Under the bright lights, you carve your turns into the snow and experience the piste in a very special atmosphere.

The wide night slope is ideal for anyone who wants to get back on skis after an active day. That makes Hochwurzen a popular meeting place for winter sports fans, even in the evening.

Tobogganing also continues in the evening and is an experience for the whole family. On the 7-kilometre toboggan run, you return from the mountain station to the valley station of the Gipfelbahn Hochwurzen via many bends.
