Planai Main Cable Car

14 May – 17 May 2026 (Thursday – Sunday, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm)
20 May – 20 September 2026 (daily, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm)
24 September – 4 October 2026 (Thursday – Sunday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm)
8 October* – 1 November 2026 (daily from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm)

The Schladming Bike Park operates in line with the opening hours of the Planai cable car. Riding the trails in the Schladming Bike Park outside these opening hours is strictly prohibited! 

*From 25 October (switch to winter time), the last ascent for cyclists is at 16:00!

The Hopsi Express mountain station is just a few minutes' walk from the Planai mountain station.The inclined lift takes you comfortably to the ski school area in Hopsiwinterkinderland or, in summer, to the water world in Hopsiland and the new bike area.

In winter, you will find the Hopsi Winterkinderland in the Märchenwiese area - the perfect place for your first turns in the snow. In summer, you'll find the bike area here. This is also the perfect place for beginners to practise their first turns on a mountain bike on three different downhill routes - two for beginners (green) and one for beginners (blue).

The ascent trail leads you through the forest from the Planai cable car middle station / Lärchkogelbahn valley station up to the Planai summit.

Starting at the Fastenberg 6-seater chairlift valley station, the ski tour leads through forests, past reservoirs and the World Cup course to the Planai cable car mountain station.

Here is the start of the descent into Children Winterworld. 

The park is divided into a beginner, medium and pro kicker line with a total of 17 kickers and a corner jump. The Pro Kicker Line with tables between 12 and 17 meters is definitely the highlight for every airtime junky. All jibbers get their money's worth with a total of 22 jib elements such as rails, tubes, boxes and mushrooms. But also beginners quickly get the desire for more!
