The ski area in Sportgastein can be reached from Salzburg via the Tauern motorway and the Gastein federal road. Through the villages of Dorfgastein, Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein you reach Böckstein. Here the road splits in the direction of Tauernschleuse (coming from Carinthia) and Sportgastein. Via the Gasteiner Hochalpenstraße you will finally reach the valley station of the Goldbergbahn.
Coming from the south, you drive via Villach, Möllbrücke and Obervellach to Mallnitz and from there you can easily reach Gastein with the Tauern motorail.
Guests can also reach Sportgastein directly and comfortably by ski bus, which can be used free of charge with a valid ski pass and ski equipment.
