Under the current legal circumstances, the following operating hours apply:

From Thursday, 09th July 2020 onwards, the Graukogel lift operates from 08:30am until 04:00pm.

Attention: If there are bad weather conditions in the morning – no operation

Restrictions on age:
Adult: from year 2001
Youth: year 2002 until 2004 (Photo-ID required)
Child: year 2005 until 2014 (Photo-ID required)
Child until year 2015 and younger (Photo-ID required) are free
* The Stubnerkogelbahn, the Schlossalmbahn and the lifts at the Graukogel have 2 sections. (ascent valley station to middle station, ascent middle station to mountain station / descent mountain station to middle station, descent middle station to valley station).

Well known for its particular beautiful and ancient stand of stone pines

Many of the trees are 250-300 years old. "Stone Pine Magic" (Zirbenzauber) on the Graukogel. The stand of pines situated next to the top station on the leisure hiking mountain in Bad Gastein amid idyllic scenery with incredible views, are two to three hundred years and somewhat unique. 

"We want to give our guests a totally new experience with stone pines to touch, smell, taste and drink" says Schafflinger, Chief Executive Officer of Gasteiner Bergbahnen AG. For this purpose, an initial step involved creating the Stone Pine Trail (Zirbenweg) – a circular trail starting and ending at the Graukogel Lift top station. Guided tours every Friday.
