    Grossarltal stands for comfortable skiing in an impressive mountain landscape. Modern cable cars take winter sports enthusiasts quickly and comfortably into the ski area. A new 10-seater gondola lift has provided extra comfort since the 2023/24 winter season and allows direct access to skiing fun.

    Wide and perfectly groomed pistes offer ideal conditions for relaxed turns as well as sporty descents. The view of the surrounding mountains accompanies you throughout the entire ski day.

    The Grossarltal ski region is part of the Grossarltal-Dorfgastein black run ski circuit. The two interconnected ski areas offer varied pistes and long descents for enjoyable ski days.

    Family winter in Grossarltal

    Families in Grossarltal can enjoy numerous offers for a varied ski holiday. Right in the valley, a large adventure meadow with practice lift, magic carpet, tubing carousel and snow playground invites children to make their first experiences in the snow.

    In the ski area too, varied attractions provide fun on the slopes. These include a fun slope with snow tunnel and wave track, a fun park for freestylers and the “Hollywald”, a playful forest run with figures from the comic world.

    Winter experiences off the piste

    In addition to classic skiing, the Grossarltal ski region offers many ways to experience the winter landscape actively. Around the villages of Grossarl and Hüttschlag, winter hiking trails lead through the snowy landscape.

    Cross-country skiing, tobogganing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ski touring and snowshoe hikes are also among the popular winter activities. The offer is complemented by guided outdoor activities as part of the regional activity programme.

    Special winter moments in Grossarltal

    A special experience in Grossarltal is “Skikeriki” – skiing at first cockcrow. Early in the morning, you start the ski day together with a small group and make your first turns on freshly groomed pistes before the ski area officially opens. After that, a regional breakfast on the mountain awaits.

    The pre-Christmas season also has a special atmosphere in Grossarltal. During the Salzburger Bergadvent, the villages of Grossarl and Hüttschlag are transformed into an atmospheric winter setting with a traditional Advent market and regional customs.
